20th Torbay Scout Group - Maximum Adventure, Maximum Fun!

2nd February

Well, its been an eventful time. Ten Scouts survived a night out in the woods with the temp dropping to minus 7 C , we have been Skiing and charging around the country Orienteering

Well done to the Scouts who packed bags at Sainsburys for Shelterbox. We have a cheque for £540 to pass on to them ion the 12th so you have raised enough for a box which you will be able to trace in the future

Ten Tors Training is kicking in and we have two 35m teams to fill. Hopefully the future weather will be a little less arctic in nature.

The ten scouts heading up to Scotland in half term will be having an interesting time in the Cairngorms with full days skiing and learning about winter mountaineering skills. First person to stick an ice axe  or crampon into themselves wins the booby prize.

Congratulations to Ravens Patrol who won the Autumn term points and are heading off on a mystery trip in half term. I hope they enjoy it.

The years main events letter has been sent out to all members and your choices have been recorded. You will have nearly all of what you asked for although some of the camps are "rather large" in numbers

Finally details of the Kandersteg trip are out and 40 places are already taken. Don't leave it too late and miss out..
