Run To The Fun - County Jamboree 22nd - 24th May 2009.

WOW!! What a great weekend that was! The camp saw around 500 Scouts and Explorers having fun in the sun! The weekend was a huge success and the best events were the massive water slide and the Segways! Can't wait until the next one..

Summer Camp 2009 - Lake District

We have booked an absolutely awesome activity centre for next years summer camp. There are loads of activities on site including all the usual stuff plus Mountain biking, Archery, Rifle Shooting etc. We are meeting the Birmingham Unit up there and are staying in chalets similar to the ones used in Switzerland. The main event of the week is a two day Expedition which involves a day of walking around Lake Windermere and a day of kayaking on Lake Windremere. Forms are out now so get your name down ASAP. Places are limited!!  Places are now full! Permission to camp forms will be sent out soon.

Bushcraft Weekend       Dates TBC

An introductory weekend into the world of Bushcraft. Learning skills, as taught by Ray Mears and his team. The weekend will include, shelter building, knife work, Bow drill fire lighting and other activities. We will be camping out under "basha's" for at least one of the nights (weather dependent).

This is a "Bushcraft" weekend NOT a "survival" weekend and so food will be provided from Friday evening onwards.

The cost of the weekend is £25 per head which includes everything.
